Selection help with liquid nails?

About 4 years ago I had a round gun type tube of liquid nails adhesive, it was brownish tan in color and I fixed my bathroom clothes bin with it with no nails at all I just ran two or more strips inside the wood pull out clothes bin and let it dry overnight , well after a few days I felt the stuff and it was rock hard and never came apart since, my problem is most of the products made by liquid nails say they stay flexible, well this stuff I used sure isn't flexible and it holds like a weld joint on the wood,can you help me find out what it was, could it have been a panel adhesive ? that doesn't stay flexible ,not much anyway very hard you cant even poke your fingernail in it its so tough.hope you can help thanks
