Is automatic or manual car better for ladies?

I live in Singapore..where our car license is almost impossible to ped..After ping my Final Theory Test, I have decided to take automatic car license to begin my practical lessons but my friends and family members have been telling me that it's better to take manual. But I guess to each his/her own. It's kinda infuriating when being pressured like that. They're telling me it's waste to take auto license. To me there's not much different between auto & manual license. Like for eg. my aunt tried 6 times to ped her manual car license but in the end she didn't drive at all because of she's not confident enough to keep changer gear on the road. For manual cars, I have to keep constantly changing gears and constantly used the cluth pedals which I really dont really fancy. My colleague have a manual license but he's driving an auto car instead. I guess by having the courage to take a car license is better than not having one at all..it takes real guts to drive on the road..
