Need verses wanting ?

Your on a deserted island, you NEED shelter, water, food, and maybe love to extend your life expectancy. What else could you need? as we know it has only been around since paper, and visual media. The oldest image is a statue 7,200 years old. The oldest known text is from the 1670's. What did men do, go out back behind the cave dragging their stone statue to get off to? If you were on a deserted island and were a man you would not die or suffer physically from lack of naked images. Modern man lived for thousand of years without ographic images, concentrating instead on his need for survival. Nor will he die from not masturbating, his body will release the semen at night, but he won't die if he doesn't do it himself while awake. There are many men who do not masturbate, and lead healthy lives. At this point I want to say I support masturbation, and although don't allow in my private relationship, don't have some sort of religious aversion to it. My question on here is why do some men who watch porn and/or masturbate defend it as a need? It clearly is not a need, just like Chocolate, music, alcohol, drugs, and even begin as a want, some turn to an addiction that can be overcome, but never started as a need. Why do some men defend porn as a need when the rest of us clearly know it is not, and some women who wish their spouse would not take part in porn related activites agree to let the blind be pulled over their eyes for this NEED? Anyone who posts a response to this question defending porn as a need is ignorant, in denial, and not fooling anyone. Again, porn is not bad, but why defend this WANT as a make or break my life NEED?
