Do stomach illnesses feel different after Gastric Byp surgery?

I had gastric byp surgery last July. I've been doing pretty well. Last night, my stomach started to really burn. At first I thought it was just gas or something because I had some brocolli (though, I've had it before). I also had a farewell party yesterday and had some cheese tortellini...sometimes certain oils upset my stomach. However, it usually goes away within 45 minutes. I'm wondering now (6 hours later) if it is something else because pain, burning, fullness is all still there and no air feels like it's moving. I know I can't be diagnosed on here - I just want to know if others who've had GB have had food poisoning or other stomach problems after surgery and if those things felt different than before - I don't remember ever feeling anything like this before. I dont' have insurance until next Sunday so I'm hoping to stay away from doc - but I might have to call...anyway, thanks for your help!
